Add Sitemap To Google Webmaster Tools


Sitemap is used to show the map that what is being posted and updated on our site blog/site. It helps the search engines crawlers when they visit your blog/site to see the latest updates. So it’s very important to create a sitemap and submit it to webmaster tools so that search engine easily indexed your blog/site updates in the search results with the help of sitemap. After creating a blog you must submit your blog sitemap To GOOGLE WEBMASTER TOOLS. To submit your sitemap to GOOGLE Webmaster Tools here are some steps to follow:


  1. Go to http://ctrlq.org/blogger/ powered by: www.digitalinspiration.com
  2. Enter your blog address and click “Generate Sitemap” button. Result will generate, copy the URL of the sitemap.



  3. Then login to you GOOGLE Webmaster Tools Dashboard and click on your (I) BLOG ADDRESS to open the Dashboard.

  4. Then from the Dashboard menu at left side click “Optimization” > Sitemaps.

                                                             

  5. Now click ADD/TEST Sitemap Button at the top right side.

                          
  6. In drop-down menu (I) enter the URL of sitemap E.G. /atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500 and click (II) SUBMIT SITEMAP button.

     
                           

              Note: Results=500 means that Google will indexed your posts or updates up to 500, after you reach 500 posts you have to create another sitemap and submit it to GOOGLE WEBMASTER TOOLS. 

              That’s it, you are all done. Wait for a day or two, till Google indexed your sitemap. Keep checking regularly GOOGLE WEBMASTER TOOLS for the update.
