Blogging has become an important aspect of online community. It is very beneficial in different manners. Just for participating in the community and interact with different people and can also be used for business purpose. People use different blog platforms, but the people who use BLOGGER must be aware of the following basic settings to appear in search results and get noticed by the search engines.
1. Log in to your Blogger Dashboard at www.blogger.com
2. Click On SETTINGS.
3. Click on SEARCH PREFERENCES.
4. Move to META TAGS section, click EDIT.
5. Select YES, Enter the description of your blog and click on SAVE CHANGES.
6. Then scroll down to CRAWLERS AND INDEXING section, “Beware of the Warning”. Leave CUSTOM ROBOT.txt as “Disabled” and click on EDIT in CUSTOM ROBOT HEADER TAGS.
7. Enable CUSTOM ROBOT HEADER TAGS by selecting YES. Check the following boxes and click on SAVE CHANGES.
8. You are all done.
