Update Galaxy Note N7000 to Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean

Note: If this tutorial worked for you (and it should work), please leave a comment below. Thanks.

The SVA v4.5 ROM is being based on the stock Jelly Bean firmware XXLSC and comes with several optimization capabilities and personalization options. New themes will be added along with few extra features, that cannot be found in the default version of the Android platform, so you will install your Galaxy Note with a custom and powerful software that will power up the performances of your phablet. Anyway, if you want to learn more about the SVA Jelly Bean 4.1.2 OS, then you can anytime check our source page, by going here.

Next, root the Note N7000. By rooting you are actually removing the factory restrictions from the internal system in order to provide access to the same. That’s exactly what must be granted if you want to safely update your phablet to Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean SVA ROM, so complete the root procedure. By rooting the warranty will get void as you are making changes on the phone’s system. Don’t worry as nothing wrong will happen; also you can restore the lost warranty by downgrading to the stock OS or by updating to an official firmware.

After backing up the data and after rooting you must get and flash a custom recovery image for your device. CWM recovery is being recommended, but it really doesn’t matter what tool you prefer. This complex app can be installed only on a rooted system and will be used for the wiping and update operations (I will show you how a little bit later). As you will see, a Windows running computer will be required; now for ensuring that everything will go as planned, you have to uninstall the security tools from the mentioned PC and also from your handset.

  1. Download the update file by using the link from here.
  2. The Google apps are being included in the update so you don’t have to get them separately.
  3. Copy the downloaded file from the computer to your phablet (first connect both devices).
  4. Turn off the Note.
  5. Reboot in recovery mode.
  6. The recovery mode can be reached by pressing and holding the Volume Up, Home, and Power buttons together until the phone boots.
  7. Now, perform the mentioned wipe: just select “wipe data factory reset” and “wipe cache partition”.
  8. Then, return to the previous menu by selecting “+++go back+++”.
  9. Up next, you can begin the installation procedure; for that select “install zip from sd card” and “choose zip from sd card”.
  10. You can now pick the update file from your Note and install the same for updating to Jelly Bean 4.1.2.
  11. Don’t make any other changes.
  12. In the end, select “+++go back+++” and “reboot system now”.
  13. Take note that the first boot might take a little bit longer than usual, but there is nothing wrong with your handset.
